Design Guidance for the Uplands Estate Conservation Area
The estate, comprising Orchards Way and Uplands Way, is a Conservation Area under the Planning Act of 1986. This means that any changes to the external appearance of the homes require consent from the local planning authority as well as from the UEHA.
The Design Guidance is a working document that provides guidance for residents considering improvements/alterations, builders undertaking works on their behalf, and architects, surveyors and designers advising them. UEHA and Southampton City Council will refer to this document in their assessment of planning applications within the Conservation Area.
